Contraindications & Medical requirements for Procedure

If you currently have any of the following contraindications, unfortunately you can not have permanent makeup at this time. Please reach out to us if or when your condition(s) change.

 Pregnant / Nursing
Chemotherapy and Radiation full treatment – prophylactic chemotherapy is generally safe to proceed
Active dermatologic disorders in treatment area, (i.e. rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, shingles and cold sores)
Sickness (cold, flu, covid, etc.)
Hemophilia
Blood clotting Disorder
Untreated Mental Disorders (OCD,BBD,BPD,SCHITZOPHRENIA)

 

Required Waiting Periods

Botox or Disport – 2 weeks before or 1 week after 1 week after

Accutane full dose – one year (half dose or prophylactic needs medical clearance on a prescription pad)
Sun tanned skin – 1 month
Retinols, Glycolic acid, Vitamin C, peels – 4 weeks
Lasers, IPL – 4 weeks
Shingles shot – 1 month
Laser removal of old permanent makeup – 8 week

 

The following waiting periods are applicable to Eyeliner only: Lasik or Cataract Surgery: 1 month prior and 3 months post-op

lash serums: general lash serums 3 months off

  • Latisse or lash boost – 6 months off
  • Lash extensions – 2 weeks off

 

Required Medical Clearance: Medical clearance is to be written on a prescription pad or Doctor’s letter heaHeart valve, stents, 

pacemakers, rheumatic fever – medical clearance and pre-medication

Organ transplants –medical clearance and pre-medication

Joint replacement – medical clearance and pre-medication
Insulin dependent diabetic – medical clearance and pre-medication
Fever blister history – pre-medication
Shingles history – medical clearance and pre-medication, even with immunization
Seizure – medical clearance
Blood thinners, steroids – medical clearance
Glaucoma – Medical clearance
Lupus / Auto immune disease – medical clearance and pre-medication
Graves’ disease – Medical clearance
Blepharitis –medical clearance
